February 2011 Membership Meeting

  • 07 Feb 2011
  • 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Church of the Pilgrims Bird Room, 2001 P Street, NW (Florida Avenue and P Street)
Topic: Volunteering in the Neighborhood

DCCA brings you opportunities to build your community. Hear about the Everybody Wins “power lunch” reading program from a long-time volunteer at Francis School, and learn how you can train and volunteer.  Sign up for Casey Trees spring plantings in our neighborhood.  Help with our fall house tour, scheduled to take place on October 15, 2011.  We will also hear from the Washington Studio School (WSS) about their spring offering of classes.  Did you know that DCCA members receive a 10% discount from WSS as part of DCCA's Preferred Merchants program?  As always, join us for refreshments after the meeting.

DCCA monthly meetings are held on the first Mondays of January, February, March, April, June, October, November, and December and are open to the public.  Please join us for our next meeting.

Founded in 1922 in a townhouse at 1767 P Street, to promote and protect the interests of the residents, the Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) is the premier civic and residential organization in the Dupont Circle area.  DCCA brings neighbors, including residents, businesses and non-profit organizations, together to improve the quality of life in an active and diverse urban neighborhood. It holds membership meetings nine times each year, which are open to the public, organizes the Dupont Circle House Tour, resolves neighborhood issues through its committees, donates to local causes, and incubates innovative projects.
