First Friday Extra Big: Dupont-MidCity

Friday, May 1

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

On May 1st, First Friday will be larger than ever with a combined Dupont Circle and MidCity open house from 6:00-8:00 pm. Visitors can hop from gallery to studio for this dynamic and diverse arts event.

For the first time, MidCity Artists are partnering with Dupont galleries to coincide with First Friday Dupont! A longstanding Dupont Circle tradition, First Friday Dupont offers the ability to connect with modern and contemporary art by national and international artists with a special emphasis on local and up-and-coming artists. Participating galleries include Alex Gallery, Church of the Pilgrims Gallery, Foundry Gallery, Hillyer Art Space, Brewmaster Studios (Heurich Manson artists in the carriage house), Marsha Meteyka Gallery, Morton Fine Art (1781 Florida Ave, NW), Q Street Fine Art, Studio Gallery, The Toolbox, Swann Street Gallery, and the Washington Studio School.

Founded in 1922 in a townhouse at 1767 P Street, to promote and protect the interests of the residents, the Dupont Circle Citizens Association (DCCA) is the premier civic and residential organization in the Dupont Circle area.  DCCA brings neighbors, including residents, businesses and non-profit organizations, together to improve the quality of life in an active and diverse urban neighborhood. It holds membership meetings nine times each year, which are open to the public, organizes the Dupont Circle House Tour, resolves neighborhood issues through its committees, donates to local causes, and incubates innovative projects.
